Portable CD Boombox with AM/FM Radio

The Singing Wood SBX030C-BU is a compact boombox that plays standard CDs, CD-R and CD-RW discs through a top-loading mechanism. It includes an analog AM/FM tuner with a retractable telescopic antenna for local stations. A 3.5 mm auxiliary input lets you connect a phone or MP3 player, and a headphone jack provides private listening. The foldable handle and light weight make it easy to carry for everyday use.

Dual Power with 1.5 W Stereo Speakers

The unit runs on the included AC power cord for continuous indoor playback or on six C batteries (sold separately) for outdoor portability. Built-in dual 1.5 W speakers deliver clear stereo sound without distortion at normal volumes. The analog radio tuner and CD transport operate quietly, and the LED display shows track information without adding audible noise during playback.

Included AC Cord and 20-Track Memory

The package supplies an AC power cord so the boombox works straight from a mains socket. No batteries are included, so outdoor use requires a separate purchase of six C cells. On the CD player, a 20-track programmable memory and repeat modes let you arrange playback order without a remote. The large buttons and bright LED display simplify operation for listeners who prefer physical controls.

Questions about this item

How do I power the SBX030C-BU for the first time, and which step do people often skip?

Plug the included AC cord into a wall outlet or insert six C batteries, matching the polarity marks inside the battery compartment. Many users forget to extend the telescopic antenna before tuning the AM/FM radio, which weakens reception.

What ongoing upkeep or part replacement should I expect with the SBX030C-BU?

The unit runs on six C batteries when used portably, so plan to replace them when volume or playback becomes unreliable. Clean the top-loading CD lens occasionally with a standard lens-cleaning disc to keep CD-R and CD-RW discs reading correctly.

At what point does the SBX030C-BU hit its output limit during extended use?

The built-in dual 1.5 W speakers will start to distort if you push the volume to maximum for long periods, especially on bass-heavy tracks. Keeping the level below full avoids clipping and protects the drivers.
