Direct FM adapter for SIRIUS satellite radio

The FMDA25 connects a SIRIUS car dock directly to the vehicle antenna input behind the dashboard for static-free audio. Installation requires removing the factory stereo head unit to access the antenna port. A single button switches between satellite and terrestrial FM reception. The satellite radio cable reaches six feet while the vehicle radio cable is eight inches long.

Hardwired antenna connection under sustained use

Because the adapter is wired into the antenna lead the signal path remains stable during long drives without the drift or interference common with wireless FM modulators. The direct connection also eliminates the need to retune the modulator when travelling between regions with different FM station spacing. Power is drawn from the dock so no separate supply is required.

Questions about this item

Does the adapter draw any power or generate heat while the satellite radio runs all day?

The FMDA25 is a passive antenna coupler with no internal electronics, so it consumes no power and produces no measurable heat during continuous use.

What existing vehicle hardware is required for the FMDA25 to function?

You need a factory or aftermarket head unit with an accessible FM antenna input behind the dash and a SIRIUS car dock that provides an FM output jack.
