An 8-inch Newtonian with f/4 optics and 94% mirror reflectivity for deep-sky imaging and visual use
The Sky-Watcher Quattro 200P is an 8" Newtonian telescope with a fast f/4 focal ratio designed for deep-sky astrophotography. Its 205 mm aperture gathers ample light to reveal intricate details in nebulae and galaxies. The optical tube features borosilicate mirrors with a quartz overcoat delivering 94% reflectivity. It suits imagers wanting a wide-field instrument for DSLR or CCD cameras.
The telescope includes tube rings and a V-style dovetail bar for attachment to an equatorial mount. Verify that your mount can carry the optical tube weight and accepts a Vixen-style rail. The 2" dual-speed 10:1 linear power focuser requires a 2" drawtube; confirm your camera adapter and spacer train match this diameter. A 9x50 finderscope is supplied for target acquisition.
The rolled steel tube with metal-flake finish provides a rigid structure that resists flexure during long exposures. Borosilicate mirror material reduces cool-down time compared to plate glass, helping the optics reach thermal equilibrium faster. The oversized secondary mirror ensures full illumination across full-frame sensors without vignetting. No active cooling or power draw is required for the optical tube itself.

Tube rings and a V-style dovetail bar are included, so the optical tube can be mounted directly onto a compatible equatorial mount.
The model name indicates a 200 mm (8") aperture; other Quattro models with different apertures exist but are separate products.
The fast f/4 ratio delivers a wide, bright field that fully illuminates a full-frame sensor, cutting exposure times for deep-sky imaging.
