The Big Con adventure game

The Big Con is a downloadable adventure game published by Skybound Games and developed by Mighty Yell. It activates on Steam with the supplied online code and is delivered as a new digital licence. The experience places players in the role of Ali, a teenage runaway who uses cons and disguises to travel across America. A Steam account is required for activation and installation.

Suited for solo narrative players.

This title fits players who want a single-player story driven by dialogue choices, stealth and pickpocket mechanics rather than combat or online modes. Buyers looking for co-operative play, competitive modes or persistent online worlds will not find those features here. The game is blocked from activation in a long list of countries, so purchasers in those regions should look elsewhere. Region eligibility must be checked before buying.

Steam DRM activation requirement

The product uses Steam DRM, meaning a Steam account and the Steam client are mandatory to activate, download and play the game. No other distribution platform or DRM-free option is offered. The downloadable package carries model number 78089 and was released on 31 August 2021. Minimum Windows requirements call for a 64-bit operating system and processor such as AMD FX-4350 or Intel Pentium G4500.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Steam code for The Big Con and what step often trips people up?

Redeem the code in the Steam client under "Activate a Product on Steam", then install the game from your library. The step people miss is having a Steam account ready before starting activation.

What maintenance or replacement will The Big Con need later?

No physical maintenance is required for a downloadable game. Future updates or patches download automatically through Steam when available, and the game remains in your library indefinitely.

What limit shows up first during extended play sessions of The Big Con?

The game runs on Windows 7 64-bit minimum with an AMD FX-4350 or Intel Pentium G4500 processor. Sustained performance will be limited by your hardware's ability to meet or exceed these baseline requirements.
