Auto-Retract Utility Knife

The SLICE S10554 auto-retract utility knife uses a glass-filled nylon handle that pulls the blade back automatically when the slider is released. A finger-friendly ceramic edge stays sharp up to 11 times longer than traditional metal and resists rust completely. The ambidextrous design and non-sparking, non-conductive blade suit general craft work and industrial settings alike.

Right fit and limits

Crafters and technicians who want a self-retracting safety blade for paper, packaging or light materials will find this tool reliable. Buyers who need a fixed-blade knife for heavy-duty cutting or a model that accepts non-SLICE blades should look elsewhere. The included double-sided rounded-tip safety blade is optimised for controlled slices rather than deep cuts.

Compatible blade numbers

Only SLICE blades 10526 and 10528 fit this handle, and one double-sided rounded-tip safety blade is supplied in the box. If your workflow demands a different blade geometry or a third-party blade standard, this knife will not accept it. Verify the blade numbers before ordering replacements.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the auto-retract mechanism is functioning correctly after setup?

Extend the blade, then release the slider; the blade should spring fully back into the handle without sticking, confirming the auto-retract function works as intended.

What comes in the box with the S10554 and which compatible blades must I purchase separately?

The box includes the grey/green auto-retract handle and one double-sided rounded-tip safety blade; additional blades 10526 and 10528 are sold separately.

Which blade version — 10526 or 10528 — should I choose for this knife?

Both 10526 and 10528 are listed as compatible; select 10526 for standard rounded-tip replacements or 10528 if you need the pointed-tip variant for finer detail work.
