Comfort for Two

This wooden porch swing seats two people on a 48 by 18 inch slatted surface. Poplar construction is rated for 500 lbs and tested to 800 lbs. Smooth armrests and an inclined backrest follow the body curve for relaxed swaying.

Weather-Resistant Build

Poplar wood is waterproof and sunproof so the swing withstands outdoor exposure without added treatment. Metal chains are rust-proof and the frame weighs 28.5 lbs for stable hanging. No powered components mean silent operation and zero energy draw.

Adjustable Hanging Kit

Two 5.6 ft upper chains connect with S-shaped hooks and eye screws for height adjustment. All hardware and a clear manual are included for straightforward assembly. A separate swing stand is not supplied so buyers must provide a ceiling joist, tree limb or stand.

Questions about this item

How do I install the SlickBlue porch swing and which step is often done wrong?

Hang the 5.6 ft rust-proof metal chains from a ceiling joist, tree limb or swing stand using the two sheep eye screws and S-shaped hooks; the step people miss is adjusting both upper chains evenly so the 53.5 x 26.5 x 25 inch frame sits level.

What maintenance or replacement will the swing need later?

Inspect the poplar wood slats and metal chains each season; tighten the S-shaped hooks and sheep eye screws, and reapply a waterproof sealant to the brown poplar wood if the finish begins to fade.

What limit appears first under sustained use of the swing?

The 500 lb weight capacity for two-person seating is the first limit reached; exceeding it stresses the poplar wood frame and 5.6 ft chains beyond their rated strength.
