What this desk is and who it suits

The SlickBlue rolling desk is a 48 by 24 inch work surface on four casters, two of which lock. It is built for home offices, homework stations, sewing rooms or light DIY projects where a mobile, sturdy table is needed.

Deciding specification: 210 lb weight capacity

The frame uses 1.6 inch square metal tubes with triangular bracing and crossbars to support up to 210 lbs. The engineered-wood top is .7 inch thick and weighs 37 lbs, so the desk stays rigid under monitors, tools or supplies.

Who should consider it and who should not

Buyers who want a freestanding desk they can reposition without lifting will appreciate the lockable casters and minimalist natural-black finish. It is not suited for anyone needing a fixed installation, integrated storage drawers, a larger surface than 48 inches, or a higher load rating than 210 lbs.

Questions about this item

Will the 210 lb capacity hold dual monitors and a desktop tower without sagging?

The 0.7 inch thick engineered wood top and 1.6 inch square metal legs with triangle bracing are rated for 210 lbs, so dual monitors plus a tower stay level.

Do the 4 casters roll on carpet and can I lock the desk in place?

Four smooth casters move on carpet and hard floors; two have foot-operated brakes that lock the desk securely.

Does the 48 by 24 inch footprint fit through a standard 30 inch doorway when assembled?

The desk is 24 inches wide and 30 inches high, so it clears a 30 inch door without turning or disassembly.
