SlickBlue 8-Cube Freestanding Bookcase

The SlickBlue 8-Cube Freestanding Bookcase is a white storage unit built from engineered wood and MDF. It measures 39.5 x 9.5 x 41 inches and weighs 42 lbs. The cabinet features eight open cubes of varying dimensions plus a wide top surface for display or extra storage.

Ideal for families and educators

This bookcase suits parents, daycares and classrooms needing accessible, child-height organisation for toys, books and crafts. The included anti-toppling kits allow secure wall attachment for added safety. Buyers requiring enclosed cabinets, drawers or adjustable shelving should consider other designs.

Storage capacity and limits

Eight cubes provide space for assorted items; large cubes measure 19 x 8.5 x 12 inches and small cubes measure 12.5 x 8.5 x 12 inches. The top supports up to 132 lbs and the overall unit is rated for 350 lbs. Heavier loads beyond these ratings risk instability.

Questions about this item

Do I need to provide my own tools and wall anchors to secure the 39.5-inch tall bookcase?

The unit includes two anti-toppling kits for wall attachment, so no separate mounting hardware is required for basic safety installation.

Will the 19-inch large cubes and 12.5-inch small cubes align with standard 12-inch fabric bins I already own?

Each cube has an internal height of 12 inches, matching common bin heights, while widths of 19 and 12.5 inches and depth of 8.5 inches accommodate most square and rectangular storage bins.

How can I confirm the bookcase is stable and level after assembly?

Check that the 3.5-inch bottom base sits flat on the floor, the protective foot pads contact evenly, and the anti-toppling straps are taut against the wall with no wobble when the 132-lb top capacity is tested.
