Single Rattan Porch Swing

This white porch swing uses hand-woven PE rattan on a metal frame with acacia wood armrests and a polyester cushion. It is built for one person to sit on a covered patio, porch or garden area where a hanging seat can be suspended safely. The 400 lbs weight capacity and 21 lbs net weight make it suitable for everyday outdoor relaxation. Buyers who need a two-person bench or a freestanding glider will not be served by this single-seat design.

Thermals Noise and Power

The PE rattan is colourfast, sun-protective and breathable, so the seat surface stays cooler under direct sunlight than solid plastic or metal surfaces. No motor, fan or electrical component is present, so the swing operates silently and draws no power. The padded cushion uses spray-bonded non-woven fabric and sponge filling for comfort without heat buildup. Keep the cushion dry to maintain its thermal performance over time.

Cushion Straps and Cleaning

The seat cushion measures 24.5" x 21" x 2.5" and attaches with fixing straps that prevent it from sliding during use. A smooth zipper on the cover allows removal for cleaning when needed. The hanging ropes are designed for a suspension height between 5.4 ft and 5.7 ft, placing the seat 11.8" to 15.7" above ground. No assembly tools or mounting hardware beyond the supplied ropes are included.

Questions about this item

How do I hang the swing and what is the mistake people make with the height?

Mount the ropes so the seat sits 11.8-15.7 inches above ground; the common error is hanging it outside the 5.4-5.7 ft ceiling-to-seat range, which changes the swing angle and clearance.

What parts will need replacing first if I leave it outside?

The cushion cover unzips for washing but the sponge filling degrades if kept damp; keep the cushion dry to prolong its life, and the PE rattan is colorfast and sun-protective for longer durability.

At what load does the frame or ropes reach their limit during daily use?

The swing is rated for 400 lbs total weight capacity; exceeding that stresses the metal frame and hanging ropes beyond their tested strength.
