The SmallRig 5310 is a 7" magic arm paired with a crab-shaped clamp, built from CNC-machined aerospace-grade aluminum and stainless steel. It targets videographers and photographers who need to mount monitors, lights, microphones or action-camera cages on tubes, tables or tripod legs. The arm weighs 11.4 oz (322 g) and supports a maximum payload of 1.5 kg (3.3 lb).

Behaviour under sustained load

The ball head delivers smooth 360 degree articulation and locks via a knurled thumbscrew with an extra Allen-wrench hole for secondary tightening. An anti-twist design at the clamp junction prevents loosening during extended shoots, while built-in pads protect the clamped surface and increase friction. The 1/4"-20 screw includes retractable pins that engage anti-twist holes on compatible cages such as the 3084C, 4119C and 4278.

Limits of the mounting interface

The crab-shaped clamp accepts diameters from 15 to 40 mm (0.6 to 1.6 in), so thinner rods or thicker poles fall outside its range. The 1/4"-20 thread is the only attachment point on the arm end; devices without that thread or without matching anti-twist holes cannot be secured against rotation. Payload must stay at or below 1.5 kg (3.3 lb).
