Dual-slot charger for DMW-BLK22

This SmallRig charger powers two Panasonic DMW-BLK22 batteries at once or one at a time. It accepts both original and third-party cells, making it practical for video crews and photographers who rotate batteries during long shoots. The unit is new and ready for immediate use.

USB-C input with PD3.0 and QC3.0

A single USB-C port takes power from wall adapters, car chargers or power banks, provided the source delivers 22.5 W or more. Five LEDs per channel show charge in 20 percent steps and stay visible even when the charger is unplugged. A red-and-white flash warns of overheating before automatic recovery.

Full charge in approximately 2 hours

Two depleted DMW-BLK22 batteries reach capacity in roughly two hours when the input meets the 22.5 W recommendation. Intelligent circuitry tapers current near the top, protects against over-voltage and stops charging if temperature rises too high. Lower-power sources such as 5 V / 1 A will not operate the charger.

Questions about this item

What USB-C charging protocols does the 5492 support and what power input does it need?

The charger uses PD3.0 and QC3.0 protocols and requires a USB-C power adapter rated at 22.5 W or higher; 5 V / 1 A sources are not compatible.

What physical space and mounting does the dual-slot charger require?

It is a compact desktop unit with two battery slots and a single USB-C port; no mounting hardware is included, so it simply rests on a flat surface.

How do you start charging and which step do users often miss?

Connect a 22.5 W or higher USB-C adapter, insert one or two DMW-BLK22 batteries, and charging begins automatically; the common miss is using a lower-wattage adapter that prevents the charger from operating.
