Quick-Release Plate for DJI RS Gimbals
This SmallRig plate adds an Arca-Swiss compatible base to DJI RS 2, RSC 2, Ronin-S, RS 3, RS 3 Pro, RS 4 and RS 4 Pro gimbals. It lets you mount standard L-brackets and camera cages directly onto the gimbal without extra tools. The thumbscrew locking mechanism enables fast transitions between tripod and handheld stabilisation setups.
All-Metal Construction at 90 Grams
The plate is machined from aluminium alloy and stainless steel, weighing 3.17 oz (90 g) to keep the gimbal balance neutral during long shoots. An adjustable anti-drop pin secures the camera even when the original Arca plate is used. No active cooling or power draw is involved, so operation stays silent and thermally inert.
Replaces the Stock Camera Plate
This accessory supersedes the standard DJI camera plate when you need Arca-Swiss versatility for L-brackets or cages. It is not for users who rely on proprietary quick-release systems incompatible with the Arca standard. The upgrade is worthwhile when you switch frequently between tripod, slider and gimbal configurations.

Questions about this item
How do I install the quick-release plate on my DJI RS 3 Pro gimbal and what step is often missed?
Slide the Arca-Swiss base into the gimbal's native mount, tighten the integrated thumbscrew fully, then engage the adjustable anti-drop lever to lock the plate — skipping the lever leaves the camera secured only by the screw.
What maintenance will this SmallRig plate need after months of daily use?
Periodically check the thumbscrew and anti-drop lever for tightness, wipe the aluminum alloy and stainless-steel surfaces clean of dust or grit, and apply a drop of light machine oil to the lever pivot if it stiffens.
What limit appears first when the plate is used on a Ronin-S for long handheld shoots?
At 90 g the plate adds minimal mass, yet the single thumbscrew interface can loosen under sustained vibration, making the anti-drop lever the critical safety backup during extended sessions.
