Compact Shotgun Microphone for Vloggers

The SmallRig Simorr Wave S1 Lite is a compact, camera-mount shotgun microphone built for vloggers and mobile creators who need directional audio without extra bulk. It plugs straight into cameras, DSLRs, camcorders or smartphones using the supplied 3.5 mm cables and requires no battery to operate. The bundle adds a Vigor VK-20 tripod kit and a Wave U1 microphone for expanded recording options.

Consistent Directional Capture Under Load

The cardioid condenser capsule maintains its 20 Hz–20 kHz response during long takes, keeping focus on sound in front of the camera while rejecting noise from the sides and rear. A patented suspension mount isolates the capsule from handling vibrations that build up during extended handheld or tripod-mounted sessions. The included foam windscreen and furry windshield suppress wind noise that would otherwise grow intrusive in outdoor conditions.

Aluminium Build with Flexible Mounting

An aluminium alloy cavity and metal dust screen protect the internals from knocks and dust during daily transport in the supplied carrying bag. The cold-shoe suspension mount secures to standard camera shoes and the 3.5 mm TRS/TRRS cables cover both camera and smartphone inputs without adapters. The tabletop tripod provides a stable desktop platform for stationary streaming or voice-over work.

Questions about this item

Does the cardioid condenser microphone pick up handling noise when mounted on a camera all day?

The patented suspension mount on the Wave S1 Lite isolates the capsule from camera vibrations, so handling noise stays low during extended recording sessions.

What cables must I already have to connect the Wave S1 Lite to my camera and phone?

The bundle includes both a 3.5mm camera cable and a 3.5mm smartphone cable, so no extra cables are required for standard TRS or TRRS jacks.

Will the Wave U1 microphone work alongside the Wave S1 Lite on the same Vigor VK-20 tripod?

The Vigor VK-20 tripod kit provides a standard mounting point; both microphones use 3.5mm connections, so they can share the tripod without adapter conflicts.
