Ultra-short-throw business projector

The Smart Industries UF70 is a DLP projector built for classrooms and meeting rooms where space is limited. Its ultra-short-throw lens produces a large image from a distance of only four to twenty-eight inches, removing screen shadows and eye glare for presenters standing close to the display.

Thermals noise and power

The unit weighs 16.7 pounds and includes built-in speakers for all-in-one operation. Connectivity covers HDMI, VGA, composite video, RJ-45 LAN, USB Type-B and analogue audio in and out, supporting 1080i HD video input alongside the native 1024 by 768 resolution.

Integration and placement

A throw ratio below 0.4 lets the projector sit on a table or mount on a ceiling just centimetres from the screen, freeing floor space and keeping cables short. The package includes a bundle of accessories for immediate setup, while the 2900:1 contrast ratio and 3000 to 3500 lumen output keep images readable in lit rooms.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the UF70 for ultra-short-throw projection and what distance mistake do installers make?

Mount it 4 to 28 inches from the screen for a throw ratio under .4; the common error is placing it farther back, which defeats the ultra-short-throw benefit and creates shadows.

Which consumable part will need replacement after extended use?

The DLP lamp will require replacement once its rated hours are reached; the projector has no user-serviceable filter, so only the lamp needs periodic service.

What image-quality limit appears first during long presentations at 3000 lumens?

The 2900:1 contrast ratio becomes the limiting factor in bright rooms, causing dark areas to look washed out before brightness or resolution constraints appear.
