PressGuard Report Cover

The Smead 81752 is a side-opening PressGuard report cover designed for letter-size documents. It uses a twin-prong fastener with a compressor to bind materials securely without damage. The cover is made from heavy-duty 20 point PressGuard stock with an embossed leather-grain finish. A Tyvek hinge adds tear resistance and a professional look.

Suits single-report binding.

This cover suits professionals and students who need a neat, loose-leaf style binding for presentations, reports or proposals. The two-piece design compresses contents tightly to reduce bulk. Buyers who need a traditional three-ring binder mechanism should look at a different product type. The single fastener limits capacity to one fastened set.

3-inch expansion capacity

The folder offers 3 inches of expansion to hold substantial document sets. Fastener dimensions are spaced at 8 1/2 inches center-to-center for standard letter paper. The stock contains 60 percent recycled content and is coated to resist moisture and stains. These specifications determine whether the cover fits the intended volume and paper format.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the PressGuard cover generate when it sits on a desk all day?

The cover is a passive paper product with no electronics, so it produces no heat during extended use.

What existing supplies are needed to use the twin-prong fastener?

Standard letter-size paper punched with holes 8 1/2 inches center-to-center fits the fastener directly.

Will the 20-point PressGuard stock damage older reports printed on fragile paper?

The fastener compressor holds documents tightly without damaging them, and the coated stock resists moisture and stains that could transfer.
