Compact black RJ45 splitter box with two ports and USB power lead

SMUGDESK

SMUGDESK 1-to-2 RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet Splitter Adapter with USB Power

SKU CH-NYDD-XZ1TD

Splits one RJ45 port into two gigabit connections with USB power for stable dual-device internet access

  • Expands one RJ45 port into two for dual-device internet access
  • USB power cable maintains full gigabit bandwidth without speed drop
  • Plug-and-play operation requires no driver installation or network setup
  • Compatible with PCs, laptops, smart TVs and set-top boxes
  • Compact housing fits behind TV cabinets and router boxes

One Port Becomes Two

This SMUGDESK splitter turns a single RJ45 jack into two independent gigabit Ethernet outputs. It lets two wired devices share one wall or router port without sacrificing the 10/100/1000Mbps link speed. The adapter is aimed at homes and small offices that need an extra wired connection for a PC, laptop, smart TV or set-top box.

USB Power Keeps Speed Stable

A supplied USB power cable feeds the splitter so both ports run at full gigabit throughput continuously. Without the extra power, long runs or sustained traffic can cause lag, packet loss or drop-outs. The unit is plug-and-play: connect the incoming cable, the two outgoing cables and the USB cord, and the link is live with no drivers or router changes.

Good for Adding a Second Wired Device

The splitter suits anyone who has one Ethernet drop but needs two active connections — for example a TV and a streaming box, or a desktop and a laptop. It does not create a second upstream link, so buyers who need more total bandwidth than one gigabit line can provide, or who require managed switching features, should look at a powered switch instead.

Questions about this item

Does the USB power cable need periodic replacement to keep both ports at 1000Mbps?

The USB power cable supplies steady power for full gigabit throughput; replace it only if it becomes physically damaged or the connectors wear out.

What limits the throughput when both connected devices run large transfers for hours?

The single upstream RJ45 link caps total bandwidth at 1000Mbps shared between the two ports.

How much heat or fan noise does the adapter produce when powered and passing traffic all day?

The compact housing has no fan and runs silently; it stays cool to the touch under continuous gigabit loads.
