  • Aluminium alloy housing dissipates heat and shields interference for stable, lossless signal transmission

  • Wide compatibility covers PS3, PS4, PS5, Xbox consoles, Fire Stick, Roku, Blu-ray players, monitors and TVs

Two-Port 8K HDMI 2.1 Switch

The SMUGDESK bi-directional switch connects two HDMI sources to one display or routes one source to two displays. It serves gamers and streamers who want to toggle between a PS5, Xbox, Fire Stick or Blu-ray player without unplugging cables. The unit handles both switching and splitting duties in a single compact device.

Sustained 8K 60Hz and 4K 120Hz Operation

The HDMI 2.1 compliant circuitry maintains lossless audio and video during extended sessions with no lag, flicker or colour distortion. An integrated signal-enhancement circuit preserves stability at 8K 60Hz and 4K 120Hz. The solid aluminium alloy casing dissipates heat efficiently and shields against electromagnetic interference for reliable long-term performance.

Driver-Free Installation and Common Pitfalls

Plug-and-play operation requires no external power adapter or software; simply connect HDMI cables and power on the devices. The switch auto-detects active inputs in 2-in-1-out mode. Note that only one output is active at a time in 1-in-2-out splitter mode, so simultaneous dual-display use is not supported.

Questions about this item

Does the aluminum housing keep the SMUGDESK 8K HDMI 2.1 switch cool during all-day use?

Yes, the premium aluminum alloy casing provides efficient heat dissipation and electromagnetic shielding for stable, long-time operation without an external power supply.

What cables or devices must I already own to use this bi-directional switch?

You need HDMI cables and either two source devices (such as a PS5 and Xbox) for 2-in-1-out mode, or two displays for 1-in-2-out mode.

Will the switch pass 4K 120 Hz from my current console to an older 4K 60 Hz monitor?

The unit supports up to 4K@120Hz and 8K@60Hz; it will transmit the signal, but the display must support the chosen refresh rate.
