Tailored dual-C hub for 2017-2018 MacBooks

This 8-in-2 docking hub fits the side-by-side USB-C ports on MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models from 2017 and 2018. The dual-plug design locks securely to prevent wobble during use. It is built for users who need multiple legacy and modern connections from a single compact accessory. Photographers and mobile professionals gain immediate access to card readers and video output without carrying separate dongles.

Aluminium chassis handles sustained workloads

Premium aluminium casing acts as a heatsink to dissipate warmth during long sessions of data transfer and 4K video output. Plug-and-play operation requires no driver installation, keeping the setup silent and power-efficient. The hub draws power through the Thunderbolt 3 pass-through port, so the laptop charges while peripherals stay active. Thermal performance stays consistent across extended creative or office workflows.

Slim aluminium body with full legacy I/O

The rigid unibody shell resists flex and protects internal circuitry during daily transport. Three USB 3.0 ports, a USB-C data port, dual SD and MicroSD slots, and a 4K HDMI output cover monitors, storage, input devices and card ingestion simultaneously. Thunderbolt 3 pass-through keeps the laptop powered without sacrificing the only charging port. Fixed dual-connector spacing means the hub only fits the specified MacBook models.

Questions about this item

How do I attach the dual USB-C plugs to my MacBook without them coming loose?

Align both connectors side-by-side with the MacBook's Thunderbolt 3 ports and press firmly until the aluminum body sits flush against the laptop edge; the dual-plug design locks the hub in place so it cannot wobble or disconnect during use.

Will the SD and MicroSD card slots wear out if I insert cards daily?

The spring-loaded card readers are rated for thousands of insertion cycles; keep the slots free of dust and avoid forcing cards at an angle to maintain reliable contact over the hub's lifetime.

What limits the hub first when I run 4K video and transfer large files at the same time?

The Thunderbolt 3 port shares its bandwidth between 4K HDMI output, pass-through charging and all data ports, so sustained high-resolution video plus heavy file transfers will hit that shared throughput ceiling before any individual port reaches its own limit.
