8K DisplayPort 1.4 Cable

This 6.6 ft DisplayPort 1.4 cable carries 32.4 Gbps bandwidth for 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 144 Hz and 1440p at up to 240 Hz. It suits gamers and creators who need high refresh rates and HDR10 support on a single link. Backward compatibility with DisplayPort 1.3, 1.2 and 1.1 keeps older monitors and graphics cards working.

Signal integrity and shielding

Triple tin shielding wraps 28 AWG copper conductors inside a double-braided nylon jacket, preserving signal quality over the full length. Gold-plated, corrosion-resistant connectors maintain low contact resistance. The passive design draws no external power and adds no audible noise to the system.

Included accessories and software

The package contains only the male-to-male DisplayPort cable itself. No adapters, mounting hardware or configuration utilities are supplied. Plug-and-play operation works with FreeSync and G-Sync displays, while audio pass-through handles 7.1, 5.1 and 2.0 channel formats without driver installation.

Questions about this item

How do I install this 6.6ft DisplayPort cable and which step do people often get wrong?

Plug the gold-plated male connectors firmly into the GPU and monitor ports until the latches click; the common mistake is leaving them loose so the 32.4 Gbps link drops to a lower rate.

What maintenance or replacement will this 8K DP 1.4 cable need later?

The 28AWG copper conductors and triple tin shielding are passive, so no scheduled maintenance is required; replace only if the nylon braid frays or a connector latch breaks.

What limit appears first on this cable during sustained 8K@60Hz gaming?

The 32.4 Gbps HBR3 bandwidth ceiling is the first hard limit; pushing beyond it forces Display Stream Compression or a lower refresh rate.
