Adds two 2.5Gbps RJ45 ports via PCIe x1 with Realtek RTL8125BG chip, 9KB Jumbo Frame and Wake-on-LAN for desktop networking upgrades
The SMUGDESK Dual 2.5G RJ45 PCIe x1 Network Card adds two independent 2.5Gbps Ethernet ports to a desktop PC through a single PCIe x1 slot. It targets users who need faster wired links for NAS access, large file transfers or replacing a failed onboard LAN port without occupying a larger expansion slot.
The card uses a PCIe x1 connection that fits x1, x4, x8 or x16 slots, but the single-lane bandwidth caps total throughput below the combined 5Gbps theoretical maximum of both ports running at 2500Mbps simultaneously. Real-world speeds also depend on the switch, cabling quality and system CPU load during heavy traffic.
The Realtek RTL8125BG controller drives two physical RJ45 ports that auto-negotiate 2.5Gbps, 1Gbps, 100Mbps or 10Mbps over Cat5e or Cat6 wiring. This single chip determines whether the card matches a build needing two separate 2.5G links for link aggregation or segregated traffic, versus a single-port alternative.

The dual-port model provides two independent 2.5Gbps links so you can aggregate bandwidth or run separate networks without adding another card.
Each port negotiates up to 2.5Gbps; real-world speed depends on your switch, cabling and workload, but the hardware checksum offload and 9KB Jumbo Frame support keep CPU overhead low.
PCIe x1 Gen 2 supplies roughly 5Gbps total bandwidth, enough for both 2.5Gbps ports to run at line rate simultaneously.
