Converts USB to TTL serial signals with an FT232BL chip and standard 6Pin header for MCU debugging and firmware flashing
The SMUGDESK module uses an original FT232BL chip to convert USB signals into TTL-level UART data. It targets hardware engineers, firmware writers and hobbyists who need a reliable serial link for microcontroller boards, routers or industrial gear. Driver installation is required on Windows, Linux or macOS before the port appears.
A standard 6Pin layout provides VCC, GND, TX, RX and control lines for direct connection to target hardware. The on-board anti-interference circuit keeps long debugging sessions stable without extra components. No external power supply is needed because the adapter draws current from the USB host.
The FT232BL core supports the standard speeds used by most 8-bit and 32-bit microcontrollers, giving enough headroom for firmware uploads and runtime logging. Very high-speed or multi-megabaud proprietary protocols fall outside the chip's specification and will not work.

No published specifications for this item yet.
The FT232BL chip supports common baud rate settings for diverse serial devices and the optimised peripheral circuit ensures accurate data transmission during long-time continuous operation.
The compact lightweight design has no active cooling; the anti-interference circuit minimises signal noise, and the low-power FT232BL chip produces negligible heat during extended use.
You need to download and install the official FT232 series driver for Windows, Linux or Mac OS before the module will be recognised by the operating system.
