Purpose-Built Workstation NIC

The SMUGDESK L33676-001 is an original replacement network interface card designed exclusively for HP Z4 G4, Z6 G4 and Z8 G4 workstations. It targets IT professionals and engineers who need a validated, plug-and-play networking upgrade for media production, CAD design or storage cluster environments without risking BIOS conflicts.

Internal Slot Integration

The card installs into a dedicated internal slot, leaving standard PCIe expansion lanes free for GPU or SSD additions. Passive cooling supports 24/7 continuous operation for demanding design and data transmission workloads, while driver certification covers Windows 10, 11, Server and mainstream Linux distributions for immediate deployment.

Factory Upgrade Path

This NIC replaces a missing or failed OEM network adapter to restore or add wired connectivity with support for VLAN, NIC bonding, jumbo frame and PXE boot capabilities. The upgrade is worthwhile when a workstation requires cluster-ready networking features or a direct factory-matched replacement to maintain system stability and compatibility.

Questions about this item

Will the dedicated internal slot handle 24/7 workloads without throttling?

The card uses passive cooling rated for continuous 24/7 operation in design and data-transmission workloads.

How much heat or noise does the card add when running all day?

Passive cooling means zero fan noise; heat output is low enough for the workstation’s existing airflow.

Which HP workstations must I already own for this card to fit?

It is an OEM replacement for HP Z4 G4, Z6 G4 and Z8 G4 workstations only.
