Adds a single 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 port via M.2 B & MKey using the Realtek RTL8111H chipset for compact systems
The SMUGDESK M.2 B & MKey Gigabit Ethernet NIC uses a Realtek RTL8111H chipset to add a single RJ45 port to mini PCs and embedded boards. It fits standard M.2 BKey or MKey slots and supports 10/100/1000Mbps autonegotiation for wired networking.
The card plugs directly into an M.2 PCIe slot, leaving full-size expansion slots free for other add-in cards. Its compact form factor suits space-limited chassis such as soft routers, industrial controllers and small servers. Driver support covers Windows, Linux and MAC operating systems.
Builders adding wired Ethernet to an M.2-equipped mini PC or embedded board will find this module a direct fit. It does not suit systems lacking an M.2 BKey or MKey slot, nor users needing multi-gigabit speeds or multiple network ports.

The Realtek RTL8111H controller tops out at 1000 Mbps, so the gigabit link itself is the first bottleneck under sustained traffic.
The module has no fan and draws only the power supplied through the M.2 slot, so it runs silently and adds negligible heat inside a miniPC or embedded board.
The board needs an M.2 slot that accepts both B-key and M-key modules with PCIe signalling; the card plugs directly into that slot and requires no extra cables or brackets.
