Metal radiator lowers DDR4 and DDR5 memory temperatures with addressable 5V 3-pin ARGB lighting
The SMUGDESK RA-2 is a metal heat-sink kit that clamps onto standard desktop memory sticks to pull heat away during heavy workloads or overclocking. It targets builders who want lower memory temperatures without liquid loops and who also want addressable lighting inside the case.
The bundled addressable RGB strip connects to a 5 V 3-pin header and follows the colour patterns set in the motherboard vendor's lighting software. Without that header the cooler still dissipates heat, but the lighting cannot be controlled or synchronised with other components.
Verify the board has a 5 V 3-pin ARGB connector if you want the lighting to work, and confirm there is enough vertical space above the memory slots for the metal radiator. The cooler fits most standard DDR4 and DDR5 sticks, but tall heat-spreaders or cramped layouts may prevent installation.

The metal radiator is a passive heatsink with no moving parts or thermal interface that degrades; it requires no scheduled maintenance or paste replacement.
The cooler has no active temperature limit; it simply conducts heat away from DDR4 or DDR5 modules until case airflow removes it.
The ARGB LEDs draw only a few watts from the motherboard 5 V header and produce no audible noise.
