  • Right-angle connectors ease tight desk spaces

  • Braided nylon jacket resists daily wear and tear
  • 56 kΩ resistor ensures safe 3 A charging current

SMUGDESK Right Angle USB-C to USB-A Cable

This two-pack supplies one-metre braided cables with a right-angle USB-C plug for tight ports. Each cable handles 10 Gbps data transfer and up to 60 W charging with a 56 kΩ resistor for safe power negotiation. The sturdy metal connectors and nylon braid resist daily wear.

Suits devices that charge at 5 V 3 A

Phones or laptops needing 4.5 V 5 A or 5 V 4 A proprietary charging will not reach full speed. The cable also carries no video signal so it cannot drive external displays. Buyers who need DisplayPort Alt Mode or higher proprietary wattage should look elsewhere.

10 Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2 data rate decides fit

At this speed large photo libraries or video files move in seconds rather than minutes. If the host and device both support the same generation the cable will not bottleneck the transfer. Slower ports fall back automatically but the 10 Gbps ceiling remains the limiting factor.

Questions about this item

What comes in the pack and do I need any extra adapters to use the cables?

The pack contains two 1 m right-angle USB-C to USB-A cables with braided nylon jackets and metal connectors. No extra adapters are included or required for standard USB-A ports.

Which version should I pick if I want the fastest data rate this product offers?

Both cables in the pack are USB 3.2 Gen 2 rated for up to 10 Gbps (1250 MB/s), so either one gives the maximum speed this model provides.

What does the 10 Gbps rating mean when I copy large files to an external SSD?

The cable can transfer data at up to 10 Gbps (1250 MB/s) provided the host port, the drive and the file system all support USB 3.2 Gen 2; real-world speeds will be lower if any link in the chain is slower.
