What this cable does

This SMUGDESK USB 2.0 active extension cable adds 15 feet of reach between a host computer and standard USB peripherals. The built-in repeater maintains signal integrity over the longer run so devices such as printers, headsets, keyboards or VR headsets operate reliably without moving the computer.

Check before you order

Verify that your device and port both support USB 2.0 speeds, as this cable will not deliver USB 3.0 or higher bandwidth. Ensure the connected peripheral does not draw more bus power than the host port can supply, because the cable has no external power input. Confirm you need a Type-A male to Type-A female connection rather than a different connector style.

Build and daily use

The active repeater electronics are moulded into the cable body, so the assembly stays flexible enough to route around desks or along walls. Type-A connectors on both ends mate securely with standard ports on PCs, consoles or hubs without adapters. The 15-foot length lets you place sensors such as a 360 camera or security camera where coverage is best while keeping the host machine tucked away.
