33 ft Active USB 3.0 Extension

This 33 ft active USB 3.0 Type A male to female cable extends peripheral connections up to 33 ft while preserving 5 Gbps data rates. A built-in signal booster chip compensates for attenuation over the long run. The included 5 V 2 A power adapter supplies stable current when attached devices draw more than 900 mA.

Ideal for distant VR headsets and printers

Suits setups where the computer sits far from a VR headset, printer, hard drive or USB hub and a passive cable cannot reach. Not for users who need a longer run than 33 ft or who want a cable without an external power brick.

5 Gbps USB 3.0 with active booster

The active repeater circuitry and supplied 5 V 2 A adapter maintain full USB 3.0 throughput at the full 33 ft length. Without the adapter, devices drawing above 900 mA may not operate reliably.

Questions about this item

Does the 33FT active cable generate noticeable heat or draw extra power when running all day?

The built-in signal amplifier chip and included 5V/2A power adapter handle long-distance transmission without relying on host power, so the cable itself stays cool during continuous use.

What must I already have for this 33FT USB 3.0 extension to work?

A USB Type-A port on your computer or hub and a Type-A peripheral; the cable is plug-and-play on Windows, Mac OS, Linux and Chrome OS with no driver needed.

Will my older USB 2.0 and 1.1 devices still run at full speed through this 33FT active extender?

Yes, the cable is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 standards, allowing simultaneous USB 2.0 and 3.0 data transfer over the full length.
