What this cable does

This two-pack of USB-A to USB-C cables measures 6.6ft each and is rated for 10Gbps data transfer under the USB 3.2 Gen 2 specification. It also delivers up to 60W of power at 20V/3A for fast charging of compatible laptops, tablets and phones. The construction uses copper wires, flexible graphene and a soft silicone jacket rated for 25,000 bends.

Who should buy it and who should not

The cables suit anyone connecting USB-C devices such as recent Samsung Galaxy phones, iPad Pro, iPad Air, iPad Mini, MacBook Pro or a Nintendo Switch to a standard USB-A port for charging and high-speed file transfers. They do not serve buyers who need video output or DisplayPort alternate mode, and they cannot be used with iPhone models that require a Lightning connector.

The specification that decides fit

The single deciding factor is the USB 3.2 Gen 2 10Gbps data rate combined with 60W Power Delivery over a USB-A plug. If the host port or the device cannot negotiate that speed or power level, the cable will fall back to lower USB standards but will still charge and sync at reduced rates.

Questions about this item

What data rate does the USB 3.1 Gen 2 interface actually reach?

The cable is rated for up to 10 Gbps, so large files move at that speed when both host and device support USB 3.1 Gen 2.

What clearance does the 6.6 ft cable need for routing and strain relief?

At 6.6 ft the silicone jacket bends easily; allow a few centimetres behind the connector for the non-slip grip and to avoid sharp kinks.

How do I connect the cable so the 60 W charge rate is negotiated?

Plug the USB-A end into a 20 V 3 A capable charger or port first, then attach the USB-C device; reversing the order can fall back to lower power.
