What This Cable Does

This SMUGDESK two-pack provides USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A to Type-C connections at 10 Gbps. Each 6.6 ft braided cable delivers up to 3 A at 5 V for QC 3.0 fast charging and includes a 56 kΩ pull-up resistor for safe power negotiation.

Who It Suits And Who It Does Not

The right-angle Type-C plug fits tight spaces behind desks or monitors. Buyers who need video output, data transfer between two laptops or charging above 3 A should choose a different cable. Devices with Micro-USB or Lightning ports are not compatible.

The Deciding Specification

The cable is rated for 10 Gbps data transfer and 3 A maximum current. If your workflow requires faster throughput or higher charging current, this model will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

Does the 2-pack include both cables or do I need to buy a second one separately?

The package contains two 6.6 ft USB-A to USB-C cables with 90-degree connectors; no additional cables are required.

Both cables are 6.6 ft — is there a shorter or longer version in this listing?

This listing only offers the 6.6 ft length in a 2-pack; other lengths are not included here.

The headline says 10Gbps — will I actually see that speed when moving large video files to an external SSD?

The cable supports up to 10Gbps (1250MB/s) data transfer, so large files move at that rate provided the host port, SSD and cable all run at USB 3.2 Gen 2.
