Nylon braided USB-C cable with 90-degree angled connectors, 5ft length

SMUGDESK

SMUGDESK USB 4.0 Gen 3 Cable 40Gbps 240W 5ft 90 Degree Nylon Braided

SKU CH-HGBJ-EAG7B

USB-C cable delivers 40 Gbps data, 240 W charging and 8K video with a 90-degree nylon-braided design

Cable Length 5 Feet

  • 40 Gbps data transfer with USB4 Gen 3x2 standard
  • 240 W charging via PD 3.1 Extended Power Range
  • Single 8K 60 Hz or dual 4K 60 Hz video output
  • 90-degree connector reduces strain in tight spaces
  • Nylon braid protects 5 ft cable from daily wear

Purpose-built for high-speed workflows

This SMUGDESK USB 4.0 Gen 3 cable delivers 40 Gbps bi-directional data transfer and up to 240 W power delivery. It suits professionals moving large project files between Thunderbolt 3 or 4 hosts, high-speed storage, eGPU enclosures and 8K displays. Backward compatibility covers USB 3.2, 3.1 and 2.0 devices, so one cable handles legacy peripherals too.

Fits a single-cable desk setup

The 90-degree USB-C male connectors reduce strain in tight ports and keep cable routing tidy behind monitors or docks. Nylon braiding resists abrasion during daily connect-disconnect cycles. PD 3.1 Extended Power Range negotiates 48 V at 240 W, while also supporting 180 W, 140 W, 100 W and 60 W profiles for laptops, tablets, power banks and GaN chargers. Video output requires the host port to support DisplayPort Alternate Mode.

Replaces slower or lower-power cables

If your current USB-C link caps at 10 Gbps or 100 W, this cable removes both bottlenecks for Thunderbolt 3/4 and USB4 Gen 3x2 hardware. The jump is worthwhile when you drive an 8K@60 Hz or dual 4K@60 Hz display, charge a 140 W laptop at full speed, or saturate a 40 Gbps RAID array. It does not add Thunderbolt capability to a USB-only port.

Questions about this item

Does the 40 Gbps data rate hold steady during long file transfers?

The cable is rated for up to 40 Gbps with USB4 Gen 3x2 devices, so sustained throughput depends on the host and storage speeds.

Will the cable or connectors get hot when delivering 240 W continuously?

It supports Extended Power Range up to 240 W at 48 V and is backwards compatible with 180 W, 140 W, 100 W and lower profiles.

What port feature must my laptop's USB-C port have to drive an 8K display through this cable?

The USB-C port must support DisplayPort Alternate Mode for video output to work.
