SMUGDESK USB C to USB C Cable Right Angle 1.6ft 40Gbps 240W Black

SKU CH-1F21-TF31B

Right-angle USB-C cable delivers 40Gbps data, 240W charging and 8K video in a 1.6ft braided design

Cable Length 1.5 Feet

  • Charges laptops at up to 240W with PD 3.1
  • Transfers data at 40Gbps via USB4 Gen 3x2
  • Drives an 8K display at 60Hz over a single cable
  • Right-angle plug fits tight ports without strain
  • Nylon braid protects the 1.6ft cable from daily wear

What the cable delivers

This USB4 Gen 3x2 cable carries up to 40Gbps of bi-directional data and supports Power Delivery 3.1 at 240W (48V/5A). It handles single-display video at 8K 60Hz, 4K 120Hz or dual 4K 60Hz with two cables, and works with Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, USB3.2, USB3.1 and USB3.0 devices. The right-angle connectors and 1.6ft length suit tight desk setups.

The spec that decides fit

You need a host and peripheral that both implement USB4 Gen 3x2 or Thunderbolt 4 to reach the 40Gbps ceiling; any device limited to USB3.2 or earlier will fall back to its own maximum speed. Likewise, 240W charging only activates when the charger, cable and laptop all support PD 3.1 Extended Power Range.

Behaviour under sustained load

The nylon-braided jacket and integrated active electronics maintain full 40Gbps throughput and 240W power delivery continuously without thermal throttling during long file transfers or extended gaming sessions on an eGPU. Voltage and current remain stable at 48V/5A so a MacBook Pro 16'' can stay at full load while charging.

Questions about this item

What does the 40 Gbps rating mean when the cable is connected to my laptop?

It allows up to 40 Gbps bi-directional data transfer when both host and device support USB4 Gen 3x2; otherwise the link falls back to the highest shared speed.

Which USB standard and power delivery version cap the cable’s real-world performance?

The cable follows USB4 Gen 3x2 and PD 3.1, delivering up to 240 W at 48 V while negotiating lower profiles such as 140 W or 100 W automatically.

What physical space does the right-angle connector need to fit my device?

The 1.6 ft cable uses a right-angle USB-C male plug that bends close to the port, reducing strain in tight clearances around laptops, tablets or docks.
