USB4 Gen 3 cable for high-speed workflows

This USB4 Gen 3 cable connects USB-C devices at up to 40 Gbps and delivers up to 240 W of power. The 3.3 ft nylon-braided link supports 8K video at 60 Hz or dual 4K displays at 60 Hz. It is built for professionals moving large datasets between NVMe enclosures, eGPU units or docking stations.

Suited for USB-C hosts with USB4 or PD 3.1 EPR

The cable works with laptops, tablets and phones that implement USB4 40 Gbps and USB Power Delivery 3.1 Extended Power Range. Devices limited to USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 or earlier PD versions will not reach the rated 40 Gbps throughput or 240 W charging. Buyers who need longer reach than 3.3 ft should look at a different length.

40 Gbps USB4 data rate decides fit

The single specification that determines compatibility is the 40 Gbps USB4 signalling rate. Only hosts and peripherals that negotiate USB4 Gen 3 ×2 lanes will achieve the advertised transfer speed; USB 3.2 or USB 2.0 hosts fall back to their native rates. Match the port’s rated speed to this figure before purchasing.

Questions about this item

Will this USB 4 Gen 3 cable run at full 40Gbps with an NVMe enclosure that only supports USB 3.2 Gen 2x2?

The cable supports up to 40Gbps, but the enclosure will limit transfer to its own maximum of USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 speeds.

How can I verify the cable is delivering 240W charging to my laptop?

Check the laptop's battery settings or power meter; it should show a charge rate up to 140W or 180W depending on the device's PD 3.1 EPR negotiation.

Does the 3.3 ft package include a power adapter or only the nylon braided USB C to C cable?

Only the USB 4 Gen 3 nylon braided cable is included; a compatible USB-C power adapter must be purchased separately for 240W charging.
