USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 cable for 8K workflows

This cable connects a USB-C host with DP Alt Mode to a DisplayPort monitor at up to 8K 60 Hz or 4K 144 Hz. It supports Thunderbolt 3 and 4 hosts and carries 32.4 Gbps bandwidth with DSC 1.2 compression. The 10 ft braided length suits desk setups where the display sits farther from the source.

Passive copper link with no active cooling

The cable draws power only from the host port and adds no fan or external supply. Signal integrity is maintained over the full length without thermal throttling. Noise is absent because there are no moving parts. Power consumption stays within the USB-C port budget for DP Alt Mode devices.

Unidirectional design limits use cases

The cable works only from a USB-C source to a DisplayPort sink and cannot drive a USB-C monitor from a DP output. No driver disc or configuration utility is bundled; operation relies on host OS support for DP Alt Mode. Buyers needing bi-directional switching or DP-to-USB-C conversion must choose a different product.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the USB-C end to my laptop so 8K 60 Hz works?

Plug the USB-C connector into a port that supports DP Alt Mode or Thunderbolt 3/4; the cable only carries video from the USB-C source to the DisplayPort display.

Will the braided jacket or gold-plated contacts need any cleaning or replacement over time?

The braided jacket and connectors are passive; no maintenance or replacement is required under normal use.

At what resolution does the 32.4 Gbps bandwidth limit appear first during extended gaming sessions?

8K at 60 Hz uses the full 32.4 Gbps link; dropping to 4K 144 Hz or 2K 240 Hz leaves headroom for sustained loads.
