SMUGDESK USB C to DisplayPort Cable 3.3ft 8K@60Hz 32.4Gbps Thunderbolt 3/4

SKU CH-GZV1-1FA7K

Connects a USB-C device to a DisplayPort monitor at up to 8K 60 Hz or 2K 240 Hz with 32.4 Gbps bandwidth and Thunderbolt 3/4 compatibility

  • 8K 60 Hz clarity via 32.4 Gbps bandwidth
  • 4K 144 Hz gaming on DisplayPort 1.4
  • 2K 240 Hz esports fluidity with DSC 1.2
  • Thunderbolt 3 and 4 host compatibility
  • 3 ft reach for tidy desk routing

USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 cable

This 3.3ft cable connects a USB-C source that supports DisplayPort 1.4 Alt Mode to any DisplayPort monitor, projector or HDTV. It carries up to 32.4Gbps bandwidth for 8K at 60Hz, 4K at 144Hz or 2K at 240Hz. Thunderbolt 3 and 4 hosts are also compatible. The link is unidirectional from USB-C to DisplayPort only.

Simple plug-and-play connection

No driver installation is required on supported hosts. The USB-C device must provide DP Alt Mode; computers without that capability will not output video. The cable is not bi-directional, so it cannot drive a USB-C monitor from a DisplayPort source. Secure the connectors to avoid intermittent signal loss.

For creators and gamers with USB-C hosts

Suits users who need 8K60, 4K144 or 2K240 from a Thunderbolt 3/4 or USB-C DP Alt Mode laptop such as a MacBook Pro 2018 or later, Dell XPS 13/15 or iPad Pro. Not for buyers whose source lacks DP Alt Mode, who need DisplayPort-to-USB-C direction, or who require longer cable runs.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the cable is delivering 8K at 60 Hz after connecting it?

Confirm your source device supports USB-C DP Alt Mode and your monitor is an 8K model, then check the display settings show 7680x4320 at 60 Hz with 10-bit colour HDR active.

What comes in the box and is any extra adapter required?

The package contains the 3.3 ft USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 cable only; no separate adapter is needed provided the host has a USB-C port with DP Alt Mode or Thunderbolt 3/4.

Which resolution and refresh-rate combination should I pick for competitive gaming on a 1440p monitor?

Select 2560x1440 at 240 Hz if your monitor and graphics card support that rate; the cable’s 32.4 Gbps bandwidth and DSC 1.2 handle it with visually lossless quality.
