USB4 Cable 4ft 40Gbps 240W 8K

This USB4 cable connects USB-C devices using the USB4 Gen 3x2 standard. It supports Thunderbolt 3 and 4 compatibility, delivering up to 40Gbps bi-directional data transfer and 240W power delivery. The 4ft length suits desk or portable use with laptops, tablets and portable SSDs.

For high-speed docking and fast charging

Professionals moving large media files between portable SSDs and laptops benefit from the 40Gbps rate. Users needing 140W or 240W charging for power-hungry laptops can use this cable with a matching EPR charger. Buyers whose devices only support lower USB standards or who need longer cable runs should consider other options.

40Gbps data and 240W power over 4ft

The decisive specification is the combination of USB4 Gen 3x2 40Gbps bandwidth with PD 3.1 Extended Power Range up to 240W at 48V. This single cable handles both maximum-speed data and maximum-wattage charging for compatible hosts and peripherals.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 240W PD 3.1 charging generate during all-day use?

The cable carries up to 48V at 5A for 240W delivery. Its aluminium-alloy shell and nylon braid dissipate heat, so the connectors stay cool even under continuous maximum load.

Which charger and device must I already own to reach 240W?

You need a USB-C PD 3.1 Extended Power Range charger rated for 240W and a device that accepts 48V/5A input. Lower-rated chargers fall back to 180W, 140W, 100W or 60W automatically.

Will the 40Gbps data rate work with my Thunderbolt 3 dock and older USB 3.2 drives?

Yes. The cable is backward compatible with Thunderbolt 3, USB 3.2, 3.1, 3.0 and 2.0, so existing docks and drives connect at their native speeds.
