Cable overview
This USB-C to USB-C cable supports Thunderbolt 5 and USB4 V2 standards while remaining backward compatible with Thunderbolt 3, Thunderbolt 4, USB 3.2, USB 3.1 and USB 2.0 devices. It suits professionals connecting high-resolution displays, external GPUs, docking stations or fast storage to compatible laptops and desktops.
Build integration
The cable delivers up to 240W of Power Delivery so it can charge high-wattage laptops and power GaN chargers without a separate brick. It requires a host port that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode for video output and works with MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac, Windows Thunderbolt 3 or 4 PCs and Thunderbolt docks.
Sustained load behaviour
Bi-directional bandwidth reaches 80Gbps with a Bandwidth Boost option up to 120Gbps for display traffic. The link can drive one 16K@60Hz monitor, dual 8K@60Hz monitors or triple 4K@144Hz monitors while maintaining stable data throughput for large file transfers and eGPU workloads.

Questions about this item
What is the maximum data rate the cable can sustain before it becomes the bottleneck?
The cable delivers up to 80 Gbps bi-directional bandwidth and can boost to 120 Gbps for display traffic, so the limit is the host or device capability.
How much heat or power loss should I expect when the cable runs at 240 W all day?
At 240 W Power Delivery the cable is rated for the full load; any warmth stays within normal USB-C operating limits for continuous use.
Which port feature must my laptop already have to drive a 16K display through this cable?
The host USB-C port must support DisplayPort Alternate Mode; without Alt Mode video output will not work.
