General-purpose barcode imager

The Socket Mobile D720 is a handheld imager that reads 1D and 2D codes from up to 19.49 inches away. It ships new with a rechargeable battery already installed and a black charging stand for desk deployment.

Bluetooth or USB integration

Wireless Bluetooth connectivity lets the scanner pair with tablets, laptops or POS terminals without a cable tether. A USB link is also available for wired operation or charging while the unit sits in its stand, freeing the counter from extra power adapters.

Upgrade from tethered laser units

The omni-directional imager replaces single-line laser guns that require precise alignment and close range. The jump is worth it when workflows demand faster first-pass reads on damaged or screen-presented codes.

Questions about this item

The built-in rechargeable battery powers the D720 through a full shift of typical scanning; the charging stand keeps it topped up when docked between uses.

How much heat or noise does the imager produce during all-day operation?

The D720 runs silently with no fan; the imager stays cool to the touch even after hours of continuous 1D and 2D reads.

Which host device and operating system are required to pair the scanner via Bluetooth?

Any computer, tablet or phone that supports Bluetooth HID or SPP profiles — Windows, macOS, iOS or Android — will recognise the D720 immediately.
