Producers, Podcasters, Musicians
The Solid State Logic SSL 2 MKII is a 2x2 USB audio interface built for producers, podcasters and musicians who need studio-grade conversion in a bus-powered desktop unit. It provides two XLR microphone preamps, two quarter-inch line or Hi-Z instrument inputs, two headphone outputs and two line outputs. MIDI I/O on five-pin DIN jacks and a bundled SSL Production Pack complete the creative toolkit.
Legacy 4K Analog Enhancement
The MKII replaces the original SSL 2 with next-generation 32-bit / 192 kHz AD/DA converters and adds stereo Loopback for streaming system audio or virtual guests. High-pass filters on each channel and Auto-detect instrument DI inputs simplify tracking, while the Legacy 4K analog enhancement circuit adds harmonic richness that the earlier model lacked. The upgrade is worthwhile when you need cleaner conversion, Loopback routing or the 4K colour button for vocals and instruments.
DC-Coupled Line Outputs
The interface fits a compact desktop build by drawing power over USB-C and requiring no external supply. Two independent headphone outputs allow artist and engineer monitoring without a separate distribution amp, and DC-coupled line outputs free you to send control voltage to modular synthesisers. Zero-latency monitoring with a direct mix knob keeps the signal path tight, while 48 V phantom power supports condenser microphones directly.
