What It Is

This is a 1/18 scale diecast model of the 1962 Volkswagen T1 Samba Bus in baby blue and white. It is made by Solido for adult collectors and hobby enthusiasts. The model arrives in the manufacturer's original unopened packaging. It is an officially licensed product.

Deciding Specification

The model is produced in 1/18 scale, which determines its display footprint and compatibility with other models in a collection. This ratio is the single figure that tells a buyer whether the piece fits their existing shelf layout or diorama plans.

Build Context

The model measures approximately 8.75 inches in length and requires a display area that accommodates that footprint. It features steerable wheels and opening doors, so shelf depth must allow the doors to swing clear. Real rubber tyres and a detailed interior mean the piece is intended for static display rather than frequent handling.
