QuickScan QW2520 handheld scanner

The QuickScan QW2520 is a corded handheld barcode scanner built for retail counters, warehouse stations and light industrial workflows. It reads 1D, 2D, postal, stacked, composite, dot codes and Digital Watermark codes in any orientation. The USB cable provides a direct host connection without extra power supplies. The unit is new and ready for immediate deployment.

1 MP or VGA optics define range

Two optical variants exist: a 1 MP module for superior scanning depth of field and a VGA module for extra affordability. The higher-resolution version captures smaller symbols at greater distances, while the VGA version suits standard-density labels at closer range. Choose the optic that matches your label size and working distance; the scanner cannot exceed the limits of the chosen sensor.

Motionix and Green Spot feedback

Motionix motion-sensing technology switches automatically between presentation and handheld reading modes when the operator moves the device. An LED-based extreme precision aiming system projects a sharp targeting line for accurate alignment. The Green Spot projects a visible confirmation directly on the code after a successful decode, giving instant feedback without audible beeps in quiet environments.

Questions about this item

Will the QW2520-BKK1 work on a Windows 7 POS terminal that only has USB-A ports?

The scanner includes a USB cable and draws power from the host port, so it will enumerate as a HID keyboard on any USB-A host running Windows 7 or later without extra drivers.

How do I confirm the QW2520-BKK1 is reading 2D codes correctly after plugging it in?

Aim at a test DataMatrix or QR code; the green spot will flash on the label and the decoded data will appear at the cursor position in any text field.

Does the QW2520-BKK1 package include a stand or only the handheld unit and cable?

The box contains the scanner and the USB cable; a presentation stand is not included and must be purchased separately if hands-free scanning is required.
