Product Identity

The SOMIC G941 is a USB wired headset built for PC and PlayStation 4 gaming. It delivers 7.1 virtual surround sound through a lightweight over-ear design. The headset targets players who want positional audio cues without investing in a multi-speaker system.

Bundled Functionality

An in-line controller puts volume adjustment, microphone mute and vibration toggle within reach. The omnidirectional boom microphone swings up to mute automatically and carries a red LED indicator when active. Integrated vibration units add physical feedback to explosions and gunfire. Protein leatherette earpads and a self-adjusting headband aim to reduce fatigue during long sessions.

Capacity and Limits

The single USB connection handles both audio and power, so no separate sound card or battery is required. Virtual surround processing is limited to stereo sources upscaled to 7.1 channels. The headset lacks wireless freedom, detachable cables or compatibility with Xbox consoles. Buyers needing console chat mixing, high-resolution audio codecs or a detachable microphone should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the protein earmuff memory foam need replacing after long sessions?

The protein earmuffs and memory foam are built into the headset and are not designed as user-replaceable parts.

What limits the vibration unit during extended play?

The vibration unit runs from the same USB power as the audio, so prolonged heavy bass effects may reduce its intensity over time.

How much heat or noise does the in-line controller produce when used all day?

The in-line controller is passive and draws only USB power, so it generates no audible noise and negligible heat during continuous use.
