Two-tier stackable shelf for kitchen organisation

The SONGMICS UKCS02NB set provides two metal and engineered-wood shelves measuring 19.5 cm deep by 29.7 cm wide by 15.8 cm high. Each tier holds up to 33 lb, giving a combined capacity of 260 lb for spices, cans, jars or cookbooks. The shelves nest, stack vertically, sit side-by-side or form an L-shape to suit different cupboard layouts.

Passive construction means silent operation

No fans, motors or electrical components are present, so the unit adds no noise, heat or energy cost to the kitchen. The powder-coated metal frame and engineered-wood panels dissipate ambient warmth naturally. Assembly requires only the included accessory kit and instructions, with a base weight of 2.8 lb per shelf keeping the structure stable on countertops or inside cabinets.

Metal frame with engineered-wood decks suits damp

The materials resist everyday kitchen humidity and can be wiped clean without special cleaners. Rounded corners reduce snag risk when sliding the shelves in and out of tight spaces. The 11.7-inch width fits standard wall cabinets, while the open design keeps contents visible. Buyers needing deeper tiers, integrated lighting or wall-mount brackets will need a different solution.

Questions about this item

How do I stack the two shelves together, and which step causes misalignment?

Place the larger shelf on the bottom and the smaller one on top; the step people get wrong is reversing the order so the upper shelf overhangs the lower frame.

What part will need replacement first under normal kitchen use?

The engineered-wood shelf panels can absorb moisture and swell over time, so they are the component most likely to need replacing.

At what load does the shelf reach its rated limit during sustained use?

Each tier is rated for 33 lb maximum static load; exceeding that weight is the first limit you will hit under continuous loading.
