High-availability 10G security appliance

The SonicWall NSa 5700 is a wired firewall appliance built for high-availability deployments. It runs SonicOS 7 and provides deep packet inspection services including gateway anti-virus, anti-spyware, intrusion prevention and DPI SSL. Content filtering covers HTTP URL, HTTPS IP, keyword scanning and file-type controls. The unit delivers multi-gigabit threat and malware analysis throughput with superior TLS session performance.

Verify 1U rack space and SFP+ cabling

This appliance occupies a single rack unit measuring 3 by 46.5 by 4.5 centimetres and weighs 7.8 kilograms. You need six SFP+ slots for 10G, 5G, 2.5G or 1G fibre links plus two copper ports at the same speeds and twenty-four 1GbE copper ports. Confirm your rack depth, power budget and transceiver stock before ordering. Two USB 3.0 ports, a console port and a dedicated management port are also present.

Expandable storage and DNS security included

Internal storage ships at 128 gigabytes with an expansion slot supporting up to one terabyte for logs and analytics. DNS security and reputation-based content filtering service 5.0 are integrated, adding real-time domain reputation checks without extra hardware. SSL VPN licences support up to 1,500 concurrent users while site-to-site tunnels scale to 6,000. Suite B cryptography and Diffie-Hellman groups 1, 2, 5 and 14 handle key exchange.
