61MP Compact Full-Frame Body

The Sony a7CR puts a 61MP Exmor R sensor and BIONZ XR processor into a compact mirrorless body. It captures 15-stop dynamic range and shoots up to 8 fps with the mechanical shutter. ISO reaches 50 to 102400. A 64GB SanDisk Extreme PRO card at 200MB/s is included in the kit.

For High-Resolution Portability

Suits photographers who want 61MP detail in a body built for all-day carry. The kit adds a gadget bag, blower, card reader, cleaning cloth and starter cleaning kit. Not for buyers who need more than 8 fps continuous shooting. Not for users who require dual card slots or a larger grip.

240.8MP Pixel Shift Multi Shooting

The standout specification is 240.8MP Pixel Shift Multi Shooting, which combines multiple exposures for extreme resolution. It demands a tripod and static subjects. If your work relies on single-shot speed or handheld flexibility, this mode will not be the deciding factor.

Questions about this item

How do I attach the strap lugs on the Sony a7CR, and which step do people skip?

The lugs screw into the body's side eyelets; the step most people miss is tightening them with a coin or screwdriver instead of finger-tight only.

What will need cleaning or replacement after months of use on the a7CR?

The 61MP Exmor R sensor surface attracts dust during lens changes; the included blower and microfiber cloth handle routine cleaning, while the ULTIMAXX starter kit covers deeper maintenance.

At what point does sustained shooting hit a limit on the a7CR?

Continuous RAW bursts slow after roughly 1000 frames at 8 fps; JPEG-only bursts can exceed that, and 4K60p 10-bit recording is limited by card write speed and thermal thresholds.
