Full-frame sensor in compact body

The Sony Alpha 7C packs a 24.2MP back-illuminated 35mm full-frame sensor into a body the size of an APS-C camera. It targets creators who need professional image quality without the bulk of traditional full-frame kits. ISO runs from 50 to 204800, and 15-stop dynamic range supports 14-bit uncompressed RAW capture. The 693 phase-detection and 425 contrast AF points cover 93% of the frame.

Tiltable touchscreen and wireless links

A 3-inch tiltable touch LCD lets you compose from high or low angles while the magnesium-alloy chassis keeps weight down. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth handle image transfer and remote control from a phone, and the E-mount accepts the full range of Sony lenses. The single SD slot and micro HDMI port cover basic offload and monitoring needs.

4K 30p readout and 10 fps burst

Full-pixel 4K recording at 30p uses the entire sensor width with no crop or binning, while 1080p capture is also available. Continuous shooting tops out at 10 fps, which suits general stills work but not high-speed sport sequences. Battery life and buffer depth follow the compact form factor, so extended video sessions or long bursts will need spare packs and fast cards.
