Sony Alpha 7R V 61.0MP Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera

61.0 MP Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera

The Sony Alpha 7R V is a compact mirrorless camera built around a 61.0 megapixel full-frame Exmor R back-illuminated CMOS sensor. It targets professional photographers and hybrid creators who need maximum resolution for large prints, cropping flexibility and detailed commercial work. An advanced BIONZ XR processing engine boosts overall speed by up to eight times over prior designs. The new AI processing unit drives next-generation autofocus with real-time recognition powered by deep learning.

Video Resolution and Frame-Rate Limits

Filmmakers can record 8K footage at 24p or 25p and 4K at up to 60p, with a 4K 50p option also available. The sensor delivers more than 15 stops of dynamic range for grading latitude in high-contrast scenes. Continuous stills shooting reaches 10 frames per second with full autofocus and auto-exposure tracking. These caps define the practical ceiling for high-resolution capture; buyers needing higher frame rates at 8K or faster burst speeds will need a different tool.

Build and Connectors for Daily Use

The black mirrorless body uses an interchangeable E-mount lens system, letting owners adapt a wide range of native and third-party glass for any focal length. Its compact form factor suits location work where a traditional DSLR would be cumbersome. Deep-learning autofocus recognises humans, animals, birds, insects, cars, trains and aircraft automatically, reducing manual intervention during fast-paced shoots. The AI processing unit also stabilises subject tracking in crowded or low-light conditions.
