Compact full-frame mirrorless

The Sony Alpha a7C pairs a 24.2-megapixel full-frame sensor with a retractable 28-60mm f/4-5.6 zoom in a body smaller than typical APS-C models. It is built for vloggers and travellers who need professional image quality without the bulk of a conventional full-frame kit.

Check lens mount and power

The camera uses the Sony E-mount and the supplied lens covers 28-60mm; verify that this focal range suits your subjects before ordering. USB Type-C handles charging and data, so confirm you have a compatible cable or adapter for extended shooting sessions.

Sustained 4K recording

Internal UHD 4K at 30p is supported with full-time AF and AE, and the 5-axis in-body stabilisation remains active during long takes. Dual microphone and headphone sockets allow continuous audio monitoring without the overheating interruptions common on smaller bodies.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the Sony Alpha a7C and what must I buy separately?

The kit includes the camera body and the FE 28-60mm f/4-5.6 lens. You will need to purchase a memory card and any extra batteries separately.

Should I choose the kit with the 28-60mm lens or buy the body alone for a different focal length?

The 28-60mm zoom covers wide-angle to short telephoto, making it versatile for daily use. Choose the body only if you already own E-mount lenses or need a specific focal range.

What does the 24.2-megapixel full-frame sensor mean for my photos and 4K video?

The 24.2MP Exmor R BSI CMOS sensor delivers high-resolution stills with good low-light performance and enables internal UHD 4K 30p recording with full-pixel readout.
