Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II Lens SEL2470GM2 with 7PC Accessory Kit

Refined Fast Standard Zoom

The Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II delivers a versatile focal range for full-frame shooters who need one lens for events, portraits and documentary work. It is 22% lighter and 18% smaller than the previous version, making it easier to carry through a full day. The constant f/2.8 aperture supports shallow depth of field and low-light shooting without changing settings. Photographers and videographers who want a single high-performance zoom will find it well suited.

Sustained Optical Performance

Revised optics use two extreme aspherical elements, two Super ED and two ED elements to control aberrations across the frame during extended sessions. Nano AR Coating II suppresses flare and ghosting when shooting toward strong light sources over long periods. Four XD Linear AF motors with floating focus maintain fast, quiet tracking without hunting as the lens warms up. The aperture de-click switch enables smooth iris pulls for continuous video recording.

Handling and Protection Kit

An aperture lock switch prevents accidental rotation during handheld or gimbal work. A zoom smoothness switch lets users adjust resistance to match their shooting style. The bundle adds an 82mm UV filter, tulip hood, blower, cleaning pen, microfiber cloth and starter cleaning kit for daily front-element care. Fluorine coating on the front glass repels water and oil, simplifying wipe-downs in the field. Buyers who need a wider or longer focal range, or who prefer a variable-aperture zoom to save cost, should look elsewhere.
