55" QD-OLED TV for bright rooms

The Sony K55XR80M2 combines a 55 inch QD-OLED panel with XR Contrast Booster for brighter highlights against perfect blacks. XR Processor uses AI scene recognition to optimise each frame. Google TV provides streaming apps, voice search and AirPlay 2 casting. A bundled Austere 2.5m 8K HDMI cable is included.

Four HDMI inputs and WiFi 6E

Four HDMI ports accept consoles, players and soundbars simultaneously. The cable supports Variable Refresh Rate, Auto Latency Mode, Quick Media Switching and Quick Frame Transport for gaming. WiFi 6E and Ethernet give network flexibility. Acoustic Surface Audio+ uses the screen as a speaker, freeing space otherwise needed for a centre channel.

Replaces dimmer OLEDs or LED sets

The jump is worth it when you want higher peak brightness without losing OLED black levels, plus quantum dot colour volume. Buyers who need smaller screen sizes or more than four HDMI ports should look elsewhere. The 120Hz panel and gaming features suit PS5 owners seeking a single-display upgrade.
