Sony K55XR80M2 QD-OLED TV

The Sony K55XR80M2 is a 55 inch QD-OLED 4K Google TV built for viewers who want self-illuminating pixels with quantum dot colour. It combines the XR Processor with AI scene recognition and XR Contrast Booster for brighter pure black pictures. The bundle adds a six year Amber Protection Plan and screen cleaner for residential use.

HDMI 2.1 bandwidth and 120Hz refresh

Four HDMI inputs accept 4K 120Hz signals for gaming and high frame rate video. The 120Hz panel with XR OLED Motion handles fast action without blur. Buyers who need more than four HDMI ports or legacy analogue video inputs will find the connection count limiting.

55 inch screen size

The 55 inch diagonal with 3840 x 2160 resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio defines the viewing area. This size suits typical living room distances but is not suited to buyers who need a larger canvas for home cinema or a smaller panel for desktop use.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 year Amber protection plan for this 55 inch QD-OLED?

The bundle lets you select a 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 year Amber plan that sits on top of the standard 1 year manufacturer warranty. All options cover residential use and include the supplied screen cleaner.

What does the 120Hz refresh rate actually deliver when I am gaming or watching sport?

The panel refreshes at 120Hz, so motion stays sharp during fast games and live sport. Combined with XR OLED Motion processing it reduces blur without adding artificial frames.

Which HDMI ports support the full 4K 120Hz signal from a PS5 or modern GPU?

The TV provides four HDMI inputs. The specification sheet does not split them by bandwidth, so any port can be used for 4K 120Hz sources.
